You can make a difference
As a non-profit organization, The Wellness Community - Greater Washington, DC relies on the generosity
of private donors, corporations, foundations and fundraising events
to fund our free programs of emotional support, education and hope
for people with cancer and their loved ones. As a community-based, 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization, all gifts received are tax-deductible to the full
extent of the law, and all funds raised support people with cancer and their loved ones in the Greater Washington, DC region.
You can help by making a financial contribution in any of the
following ways:
- Giving a tax-deductible cash gift to TWC-DC

- Make a tribute gift. Give a gift "in memory," "in
honor" or "wishing a speedy recovery."
- Participate in a Matching Gift Program. Request that
your employer match your gift if they have Matching Gift Program.
- Give a strategic gift by:
- Donating appreciated stock without being penalized for capital
gains
- Naming The Wellness Community - Greater Washington, DC as a beneficiary
of part of your estate.
- Donating real estate or personal property and receiving tax
benefits representing full market value
- Attend one of our fundraising events (see special events page for details):

We are working diligently to open our doors. Tasks shared are
accomplished much quicker. Consider how you can best volunteer.
The Wellness Community - Greater Washington, DC needs:
- Volunteers willing to serve on board-directed committees
- Volunteers willing to assist with major fundraising activities
or events
- Volunteers willing to plan small community fundraising events
- Volunteers to perform hands on office tasks
- Volunteers to assist with Public Relations & Marketing
- Volunteers to assist with grant research and grant writing
