The Wellness Community of Central Jersey opened its doors by renovating a 246 year-old home in Bedminster, NJ. Our home provides a comfortable location, away from the doctor’s office and traditional treatment centers, where people affected by cancer enhance their health and well-being, through participation in a professional program of emotional support, education, and hope.
Our doors are open to anyone affected by cancer – the person diagnosed or their family and caregivers. All services are free of charge. Through participation in professionally led support groups, education workshops, and mind/body programs and by using the patient active concept, people affected by cancer can learn vital skills to regain control, reduce feelings of isolation and restore hope -- regardless of the stage of the disease.
I would like to ask for your support of The Wellness Community. We are now in our second phase of development. Our first phase, initial concept and charter to door opening, was completed in three years by a very dedicated group of volunteers including myself. We are now entering into our growth and outreach/support phase, and as the current Treasurer, I have decided to participate in the Strides for Hope Marathon.
Yes, I will be running 26.2 miles to raise funds to help people with cancer. This will be the second time I have participated in the Strides for Hope Marathon. Please consider making a on-line donation in support of The Wellness Community by clicking here.
Thank you for your support.
