
Lectures and workshops provide unique access to some of the
leading oncology experts from the Central New Jersey medical
community. Each month the variety of educational programs
may include: the Frankly Speaking about Cancer workshops;
hour-long programs on topics such as nutrition, cancer side
effects, communication, practical guidance about insurance;
and monthly healthy cooking demonstrations.
"Communication and Intimacy After a Cancer Diagnosis"
October 16th and 30 from 7 - 8:30 pm

Cancer affects all aspects of relationships and can significantly alter one's body image. These changes can lead to feelings of isolation, frustration and unmet needs for intimacy and comfort. This 2-part workshop will look at ways to discusss feelings and problems and reduce the stress that cancer places on intimate relationships.
Day of Wellness
For Individuals with Cancer
Friday Sept 26th from 9 am - 2 pm
This mini-retreat is intended to help soothe the mind and body as well as instruct and inspire new ways of calming, rejuvenating and nurturing oneself on an ongoing basis. The day's activities are geared toward identifying and reducing stress, teaching methods of promoting helath and well being, and attracting positive energy into one's life. Activities include QiGong, Yoga, Nutrition, Jin Shin, Aromatherapy, Self Massage, Guided Imagery and meditation. All parts of the program are easy for the participant to do.
For Caregivers
Saturday, October 18 from 9 am - 2 pm
Does your spouse, adult child or dear friend have cancer? Do you feel stressed, physically or emotionally, from going through this experience with your loved one? Caregivers like you often minimize the profound impact that cancer has on their lives. Please join us for this special program for caregivers only. It is designed to give you a bit of respite from your daily responsibilities and concerns. You will learn strategies for managing stress, share experiences with other caregivers and be treated to a healty cooking demonstration and luncheon. |
