What does
it cost to participate?
Nothing. TWC is a non-profit organization
and does not and will not charge for any of its services.
It is supported by tax-deductible contributions from the
public.
Do participants follow a specific
program?
No. Participants customize their selections
from the program offerings according to their needs and
desires.
How does TWC work with medical treatment?
While the medical profession treats cancer
on the physical front, TWC helps people with cancer learn
techniques that help them to improve the quality of their
lives. TWC is not a substitute for medical treatment but
is meant to support conventional medical treatment.
Is the medical community supportive
of TWC?
Yes, TWC of Central NJ has a Professional
Advisory Board and has the support of area
hospitals, cancer centers, oncologists and cancer professionals.
How are we different?
- TWC is the largest support program in
the US devoted solely to providing psychological
and emotional support to cancer patients and their families
free of charge. Our program is offered in a home-like setting
like that invites people with cancer to join a “community”
of others fighting the same disease.
