SUPPORT
Weekly Support Groups
Licensed professionals lead weekly groups where participants share thoughts, feelings, information and explore ways of coping with the stress of cancer. Research confirms that people who participate in support groups improve their quality of life.

Family Groups
A weekly group for adult family member, friends and caregivers who discuss common issues and find ways of caring for themselves as well as supporting their loved one with cancer.
Transition Groups
A weekly group for our participants that have lost a loved one to cancer.
Networking Groups
Monthly groups provide an opportunity for participants to connect with others with the same or similar diagnosis, to exchange information, and to offer support and encouragement to each other.
Counseling
Up to six sessions of individual or family counseling around issues related to cancer are provided.
STRESS REDUCTION
Participants learn and practice powerful tools for managing stress and supporting the immune system. They join others dealing with cancer in their quest for health and well-being. Classes are open to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers. We offer classes such as:
- Yoga
- Tai Chi
- Guided Imagery
- Knitting, scrap booking and other crafts
EDUCATION
Workshops are scheduled on a regular basis so that patients and families have opportunities to better understand their disease and its treatment. Workshops primarily focus on:
- The latest information for specific types of cancer
- Treatment and side effects
- Nutrition
- Coping with emotional issues
SOCIAL EVENTS
Social events are an important part of creating a sense of community and reducing isolation. Participants see for themselves that people with cancer can laugh and enjoy themselves. Throughout the year, we plan
lunches, dinners and picnics.
