Senator Edward M. Kennedy’s legacy of unwavering determination, particularly surrounding health policy and civil rights, has had a profound impact on the lives of all Americans.  Throughout his 47 years in the United States Senate, Senator Kennedy has been a dedicated advocate for cancer patients and their caregivers, fighting for improvements in access to health care and increased funding for cancer research.
