follow their hearts desires. Come
and learn a specific formula and
practical exercises that can put
“the secret” to work for you. Ways
to help you manifest your goals
and obtain a greater sense of
well being will be discussed.

Description of Programs
Newcomers Orientation Group: Come vist these informal meetings which allow people to learn more about The Wellness Community and the programs we offer. (Newcomers have the opportunity to explore various methods available to enhance their well-being, improve the quality of their life and maintain hope.)
Networking Groups: These groupos give participants an opportunity to connect with others coping with the same type cancer and are held monthly.
Relaxation and Guided Imagery: Come learn to relax and focus the body and mind using this gentle but effective approach.
Participant Group: On-going, committed weekly groups where people can offer support to one another and explore new ways of coping with the stress of cancer and enhance the quality of their life.
Look Good, Feel Better: This free program is sponsored by the American Cancer Society, NCA & CTFA foundation. The program assists women who are currently undergoing treatment with education on make-up, skin care and wigs.
Yoga: Breathing and gentle stretching to induce relaxation. Mats provided. Wear comfortable clothing.
Qigong: Gentle ancient Chinese healing movements for your wellness. Wear comfortable clothing.
Creative Writing: Creative writing is an effective and powerful tool for reducing stress. Learn writing techniques for stress management and to enhance your wellness. No writing experience necessary.
Spirituality & Wellness: Join us as we explore what spirituality is and how it can be used to find comfort and strength. Facilitated by Chaplain Lucille Donahue.
Ask the Oncology Nurse: A time for questions and answers with an experienced professional. Ways to manage symptoms and side effects as well as guidelines for follow up care will be explored.
