Frankly Speaking About Cancer - Workshops

One element of our Frankly Speaking About Cancer series is the informative and in-depth workshops that the Cancer Support Community makes available to the public. These events are widely attended and provide participants with invaluable information.

Patients and caregivers are provided with a forum to become more empowered by further educating themselves and also to ask questions of the specialist leading the workshop. It is an opportunity, with others experiencing the same needs and concerns, to address issues and worries while learning more about the disease and other topical subjects.

The workshops are delivered by medical oncologists who specialize in the type of cancer relating to the workshop. These oncologists provide their knowledge and a friendly atmosphere to participants.

We are dedicated to establishing quality standards for the seamless delivery of psychosocial care through evidence-based programs for cancer patients, families, and caregivers through research and training programs

Coping with Cancer CostsFinancial worries can be a significant source of stress when you, or someone you care about, is being treated for cancer. The Cancer Support Community recently published “Frankly Speaking About Cancer: Coping With the Cost of Care”, a practical guide for navigating the complex challenges of managing to cost of cancer care.
