Programs are available to all people who have ever had a diagnosis of cancer and their loved ones.
- Support Groups
Weekly groups for people with cancer (support groups) and their adult loved ones (caregiver groups) are the heart of our program! These are committed groups that are facilitated by licensed professionals. Registration is required! Please call The Wellness Community to learn more about joining. Both groups are currently running Tuesday evenings from 6-8 pm.
- Drop In Groups are monthly meetings that give participants an opportunity to connect with others who have the same type of cancer or who are facing similar issues. Loved ones are welcome and registration is not required. The Wellness Community is currently offering the following disease & topic specific groups:
- Lung- 3rd Wednesday of the month 2-3:30 pm
- Breast- 2nd Friday of the month 11 am-12:30 pm
- Gynecological- 2nd Thursday of the month 2-3:30
- Skin- 3rd Wednesday of the month 6-7:30 pm
- GI (liver, colon, etc)- 4th Wed of the month 6-7:30
- Spirituality- 1st Thursday of the month 6-7:30 pm
- Stress Management and Exercise Programs designed to reduce stress and strengthen the immune system for people with cancer and those who support them. Come and enjoy weekly tai chi, yoga, meditation and other special offerings.
- Educational Workshops are led by experts on a variety of topics. These events will provide opportunities for acquiring tools, and information about cancer, along with techniques to learn how to be an active participant in the fight for recovery. View our program calendar for details.
- Social Gatherings are held for participants, family members and friends to enjoy camaraderie and friendship. We provide the space, you provide the conversation. Have fun!
